Job Summary: This role is responsible for duties that will involve positioning, aligning and bolting die sets, as well as, checking machine set-up for proper usage Major Accountabilities: - Properly set-up jobs in any press in the press room [inserting/installing die sets, accessories (e.g.,
- tables, chutes, conveyors, etc.), safety equipment (pull backs, light curtains, die safety equipment, etc.), welding fixtures, tapping fixtures, etc.] and complete set-up checklist in accordance with standard procedures, work center layouts and set-up sheets maximizing machine utilization to customer satisfaction. Verify set-up by inspecting part(s)
- Perform other set-up maintenance duties (troubleshooting, starting coils, making
- adjustments/improvements, etc.) to support other associates and enhance machine performance to customer satisfaction
- Communicate job expectations and requirements to the assigned Production Associate (including
- quality requirements, gaging methods, production rate, etc.).
- Ensure all necessary documentation (SOPs, SPC charts, deviations, QA forms, set-up checklists,
- control charts, etc.) is available and correct in accordance to specified procedures within timeframe requirements to customer satisfaction.
- Utilize proper care of accessory equipment and ensure equipment is returned to proper location in good working order within timeframe requirements to customer satisfaction.
- Remove dies and fixtures from presses upon completion of production run and return dies, last
- piece and other materials to designated locations in accordance with job routing die location(s) maximizing machine utilization to customer satisfaction.
Qualification: - High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Crane certification
- Forklift license
- 5 years experience in the press room desired
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of IATF 16949
- Knowledge of ISO 14001: 2015
