Job Summary: To ship, receive and record the movement of parts, materials, and products.
Required Education and Experience:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of Shipping / Receiving experience
- Experienced staging 4 legged metal bins
- Possess valid Counterbalance Forklift license
- Good English communication skills (oral and written)
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills
- Experience in CMS system
- Experience in FORD, Stellantis, GM and other customer portals
- Experience in fast paced manufacturing environment
- Previous shipping experience in an automotive industry is an asset
- Excellent attendance
- Ability to work highly efficiently with minimal to no supervision
- Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player
- Ability to maintain work area in an organized and tidy manner
- Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee or their co-workers being placed in an unsafe condition
- Perform pre-shift forklift truck inspection daily, report any defective items to your supervisor immediately.
Essential Functions:
- Create Bill of Ladings (BOL) for shipment, enter/scan required data into ERP system
- Ensure BOL are accurate for shipment per required customer ship scheduled (EDI 862)
- Load finished products on to trucks based on internal system, procedure and work instructions
- Ensure staging of skids for various products is in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- Prepare / stage products for outgoing shipments
- Load and ship product as per outgoing packing slips
- Performs inventory counts as required
- Ensure the warehouse is a clean, organized and safe place to work in at all times Occupational Health & Safety Acts
Working Environment:
- 100% plant floor (PPE required)
Physical Demands:
- Require communication with employees, peers and management
- Lifting and pushing as needed
Health, Safety and Environment:
- Must work in accordance with health and safety regulations, company rules, plant rules, policies and procedures
- Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company.
- All employees are prohibited from walking under a suspended hoist, cranes or forklifts.
- All employees must follow all LOTO procedures
- Comply with all environmental requirements including our recycling program.
