Job Summary: Coordinate and drive all manufacturing activities in conjunction with manufacturing support functions to cultivate a continuous improvement quality service atmosphere for internal and external customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field, or combination of education and manufacturing experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in automotive manufacturing - Required
  • Proven experience with high-volume production, assembly line operations and complex manufacturing processes specific to automotive components or vehicle assembly.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and sustaining Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong track record of achieving production targets, improving efficiency and reducing costs
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001)
  • Strong Leadership, Coaching and team-building skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational strategies aligned with overall business goals to achieve production targets, quality objectives, and cost efficiencies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of production supervisors, team leads, and manufacturing personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
  • Monitor and control operational budgets, identify cost reduction opportunities, and implement strategies to improve profitability without compromising quality or safety.
  • Champion a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations, and implement proactive measures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure the consistent production of high-quality automotive products

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead all production shifts, ensuring seamless handovers and consistent operational performance.
  • Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and resource allocations to meet customer demand and optimize plant capacity.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and quality issues promptly.
  • Monitor and manage departmental budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring adherence to financial targets.
  • Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Lead problem-solving activities using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and other departments to introduce new products, processes, and technologies effectively.
  • Oversee the training and development of manufacturing personnel to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Participate in strategic planning meetings and contribute to the overall direction of the manufacturing facility.3
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards and other relevant industry regulations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and continuous improvement.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily manufacturing plant environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
  • May require occasional lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Requires a flexible schedule, including potential evening or weekend work, depending on production demands.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or listen.

  • The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or touch.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Regular vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision , peripheral vision , depth perception and ability to visionally focus
